Engine
As far as the 2005 Tahoe LS model is concerned, it is powered by a 4.8 liter V8 engine that can deliver power up to 213 kilo watts at an angular speed of 5600 rpm and torque of 400 Nm at an angular speed of 4000 rpm.

With the powerful engine equipped, the SUV can achieve fuel economy of 16 miles per gallon in the city streets, while it can achieve 20 mile per gallon on the highway roads.
Standard Features
The new features to the 2005 Tahoe include navigation system with real time traffic updates, standard third row seats and Quadrasteer four-wheel steering. The model looks similar to the GMC Yukon and Yukon Denali. The model is offered in three different versions- the base model LS, upscale LT and off road version Z71.
All the models are equipped with the standard features like antilock four wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, rear view mirror, leather upholstery, front bucket seats, and audio system. The direct competitors to the vehicle include Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Tahoe and Toyota Sequoia.
