Trims
The 2006 Tahoe model seems to be similar to the GMC Yukon, but the SUV is smaller in comparison to the Yukon XL and the Chevrolet Suburban cars.
In addition to the previous trim versions- the base LS and the LT, the 2006 Tahoe model also offered a special edition called Z71. The Z71 is mainly for the off road operation. The standard to all the models is V8 engine.

Engine
The various engines offered by the Tahoe model include 4.8 liter V8 engine that can produce power up to 285 hp, 5.3 liter V-8 model that produces 295 hp and 5.3 liter V8 gasoline engine that can deliver up to 295 hp. The only transmission to the vehicle is four-speed automatic with overdrive.
The notable or new features in the 2006 Tahoe include two V-8 options, towing capacity, available autotrac 4WD and nine passengers. On the positive side of the car, it has ample interior space, seat comfort, manoeuvrability and it is very easy to drive. On the negative side of the car, it is difficult to enter and exit out of the car; it has low fuel economy and also does not provide ride comfort.
